CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE ORDER

Write to the Recording Secretary

Questions, disputes, corrections, and the occasional strongly worded opinion about pipe fittings. All of it is read.

THE FORM OF ADDRESS

Say your piece

Name, address for the reply, and whatever it is. The Order is not formal about the format — only about the answer.

On the handling of your particulars: the Order keeps its correspondence on paper, not on this machine. Nothing you enter here is stored, transmitted, or sold to anybody — it stays in your browser and is gone the moment you close the tab.

The Membership Desk

Questions on petitions, standing, packets that have not arrived, and names spelled incorrectly on certificates.

The Recording Secretary

Matters concerning the Creed, the chronicle, and anything a member feels the Order ought to have written down.

Hours of Correspondence

Read between the hours of after-dinner and whenever the game finishes. Replies are considered, and occasionally quite long.

BEFORE YOU WRITE

It may already be answered.

Fourteen of the most common matters have been settled in writing — dues, trucks, duct tape, and one question the Order has answered so many times it now takes only two words.
